The myth
Phoebe Φοίβη
“bright, radiant”
Titaness, daughter of Ouranos and Gaia. With Coeus she bore Leto and Asteria, which makes her grandmother of Apollo, Artemis and Hecate. She was the third to hold the oracle at Delphi, after Gaia and Themis, and gave it to her grandson as a birthday gift. He carries her name for it: Phoebus Apollo.
She held the oracle, the seat that knows what is coming. An EA keeps the day ahead in view.
