The myth

Asteria Ἀστερία

“the starry one”

Titaness of the stars, daughter of Coeus and Phoebe, sister of Leto. Pursued by Zeus, she leapt from heaven into the sea like a falling star and became a floating island, called first Asteria and later Delos, “the clear one”. When every land turned the labouring Leto away for fear of Hera, the wandering island alone received her. Apollo was born there, and from that day the island stood fixed and shining.

The star that became the ground everything else is born on. That is what a lead is for.
